BROOKFIELD, CT — Brookfield's registrars hold extra in-person hours this week, water line assessment bills are due by Nov. 2, and the Capital Committee and Board of Finance meet at Town Hall.

1. Registrar Of Voters Holds In-Person Hours
When: Thursday, Oct. 15, 3 to 6 p.m.; Friday, Oct. 16, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

What to know: The town calendar lists in-person voter registration hours Thursday afternoon and the Registrar of Voters in Room 133 all day Friday.

2. Water Line Assessment Bills Due
When: Due now; pay by Monday, Nov. 2, to avoid interest
Where: Tax Collector's Office, Town Hall, 100 Pocono Road
What to know: Water line assessment bills were due Oct. 1, and payments must be received or postmarked by Nov. 2 to avoid interest of 1.5 percent a month, with a $5 minimum, according to the Tax Collector's legal notice. Pay by mail to P.O. Box 508 or at Town Hall; cash is accepted up to $500, and card and e-check payments carry fees.
