• Six Restaurants Join Enfield's First Restaurant Week (patch.com) — Enfield is launching its first Restaurant Week from Oct. 4–11, featuring six local eateries offering special menus and prices to highlight the town's dining scene. With deals from spots like Yarde Tavern and Figaro Restaurant, town officials hope residents and visitors will support Enfield businesses and discover new favorites.
   

• Former Enfield School Could Become 39 Apartments (patch.com) — A long-vacant former Enfield elementary school on Taylor Road could soon be turned into 39 age-restricted apartments, if town planners approve a new redevelopment plan. The Planning and Zoning Commission is set to review rezoning and conversion requests at Town Hall, a decision that could reshape the Scitico neighborhood and bring new life to the shuttered Nathan Hale Elementary site.
   

• After first plan falls apart, CT town looks again to resurrect neighborhood (courant.com) — Enfield officials are reworking plans to redevelop Thompsonville after a 70-unit Union Square apartment proposal collapsed, aiming for a new project with more retail and stronger neighborhood support. As they finalize a fresh request for developer proposals, leaders are weighing architecture, traffic, parking, and how much commercial space the area can realistically support near the future train station.
