• Essex Harbor Commission Approves 2027 Mooring Fees, Harbor Services Bid Request (patch.com) — Essex boaters should note that the Harbor Management Commission has approved a new mooring fee structure for the 2027 season and is seeking bids for harbor services. Commissioners also discussed new South Cove navigation markers, clearer Nott Lane access signage, town ownership steps at Thatchbed, and pushed the Ferry Street project to next fall, while highlighting a new state port grant opportunity. 
• Third Order of Mary Celebrates its 20th Anniversary (norwichdiocese.org) — A faith community at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Essex is marking 20 years of the local Third Order of Mary chapter, a lay group focused on quiet spiritual service. Members meet monthly under the St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish and welcome new participants, with organizer Lorraine Maloney inviting interested residents to reach out for more information.
