Officials urge Fairfield residents to avoid wild animals, vaccinate and supervise pets, secure trash and pet food, and immediately report strange animal behavior or bites to animal control, police, and healthcare providers.

• Bobcats Earn 8 Wins on Day Two in Fairfield (gobobcats.com) — Quinnipiac men's tennis picked up eight wins on the second day of the Fairfield Invitational in Fairfield, including strong doubles performances and several victories over Fairfield University and other teams. The Bobcats return to local courts again tomorrow, Sept. 20, for the tournament's final day, giving area fans another chance to catch competitive college tennis close to home.
