1. With 1st CT Human West Nile Case Announced, How Has Mosquito Testing Gone In Glastonbury ? Eversource helicopters to inspect power lines in Connecticut (fox61.com) — Expect to see low-flying Eversource helicopters over Glastonbury between now and September 3 as crews inspect high‑voltage transmission lines for storm preparedness and reliability. Flights will run daily, weather permitting, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. across multiple central Connecticut communities, with two clearly marked helicopters checking for vegetation and equipment issues.

Spotted lanternflies threaten Connecticut vineyards (wfsb.com) — A historic South Glastonbury vineyard is battling a worsening spotted lanternfly infestation that threatens its century-old Concord grapes and wine business. Local growers describe spraying, trapping, and other control efforts, while warning that the invasive pest could have broader consequences for Connecticut's agriculture industry if it continues to spread.
   

4. Conard high school football preview 2026 (thehour.com) — Conard High's 2026 football preview includes a key late-season road game at Glastonbury on November 13 at 6:30 p.m. The Red Wolves return experience in the trenches and at linebacker but will rely on new skill players as they chase their first winning season since 2019.
