Navigating Summer Programs: S.E.L.F. Hosts Free Parent Webinar Featuring Leading Specialized Schools

Event Details
Parents and caregivers are invited to join a free, informative webinar designed to help navigate summer program options for students with learning differences.
Moderated by S.E.L.F. Staff Attorney Laura Sullivan, this timely conversation will feature a panel of experts from leading specialized schools, including Winston Preparatory School, Fusion Academy, Villa Maria School, Eagle Hill School, and American School for the Deaf.
Panelists include Jordan Yannotti (Winston Preparatory School), Amanda Sylvester (Fusion), Bill DeHaven (Villa Maria School), Megan Colvin (Eagle Hill School), and Justin Brooks (American School for the Deaf).
Together, they will share insights on how summer programs can support academic progress, build confidence, and foster social development. The discussion will also cover how to identify the right program for your child, key considerations for planning, and how structured summer experiences can help prevent regression while encouraging independence.
“Summer can be a powerful window for growth when the right supports are in place,” said Laura Sullivan. “This conversation is about helping families feel informed and empowered as they make decisions for their children.”
