Hamden Library Explains How To Filter AI-Generated Content In Libby

Library users can adjust filters for AI contributions to writing, narration, artwork and translation.

Hamden Public Library users can now filter AI-generated material from Libby, according to instructions the library posted Tuesday, Oct. 20. The controls determine which titles appear in searches and collections at their library.

To change the filters, select the center icon at the bottom of the page to open your account. Under Settings, choose Content Controls, then AI Contributions.

The library's instructions direct users to select the human-only option for all four categories: text, audio, graphics and translation. Those settings disallow AI authors, narrators, artists and translators.

The settings also offer choices that allow all contributors or require at least one human contributor in a category. Users seeking to exclude AI contributions across all four categories should choose Human authors only, Human narrators only, Human artists only and Human translators only.
