Hamden Native Among Diamond Club Hall Of Fame Inductees (patch.com) — Hamden readers can celebrate hometown baseball standout and former Hamden High coach Christopher Borelli, who is being inducted into the Southern Connecticut Diamond Club Hall of Fame this October. The longtime coach and Hamden High alum led the Green Dragons to numerous tournament appearances and coaching honors, and will be recognized alongside several other notable southern Connecticut baseball figures.

Yale, SCSU Shuttle Strike Narrowly Avoided (newhavenindependent.org) — A last-minute tentative deal has averted a planned strike by roughly 70 Yale and SCSU shuttle drivers, whose picket line would have started at Transdev's Dixwell Avenue depot in Hamden. The agreement means shuttle service for students and staff should continue uninterrupted while the union and company finalize a new contract after more than a year of tense negotiations.

Bobcats Defeated at New Haven (gobobcats.com) — Quinnipiac men's soccer will host Coastal foe Stony Brook in Hamden next Wednesday at 4 p.m., offering local fans a chance to see the Bobcats back on home turf. The team is regrouping after a 2–0 road loss to New Haven despite nine shots and strong goalkeeping.

West Nile virus detected in mosquitoes in Shelton, days after first human case (ctpost.com) — West Nile virus has been detected in mosquitoes in several Connecticut towns, including Hamden, underscoring a late-summer health risk for local residents.
