Man In His 20s Shot In Hartford: Police (patch.com) — Hartford residents are being urged to share any information after a man in his 20s was shot near Brook Street and Mather Street Monday afternoon and taken to a local hospital. Hartford police, including the Major Crimes and Crime Scene divisions, are actively investigating the incident and have not yet released details about a suspect or motive.

Accused Wrong-Way Driver From Hartford Charged With DUI: Police (patch.com) — A 23-year-old Hartford man faces DUI and wrong-way driving charges after state troopers stopped his SUV in East Hartford, following reports it was traveling the wrong way on Route 2 while he was heading to and from Hartford. Police say he admitted drinking, failed field sobriety tests, and is due in Manchester Superior Court next month.
   

3. Hartford Police Identify Woman Killed In Stabbing Monday: UPDATE (patch.com) — Hartford police have identified the woman fatally stabbed on Bond Street as 32-year-old Nykole Tellado and say the investigation remains active. Major Crimes and Crime Scene divisions are leading the case, and detectives are asking anyone with information to contact the Hartford Police Department tip line.
   

4. E-bike safety top of mind as Connecticut school year approaches (nbcconnecticut.com) — Doctors at Connecticut Children's Medical Center in Hartford are treating a growing number of kids hurt in e-bike crashes, already surpassing last year's 109 visits. As school starts, state police, lawmakers, and local districts are pushing helmet use, road awareness, and clear rules so Hartford-area families can keep kids riding safely instead of ending up in the ER.
