Videos shared by former City Councilman Miguel Castro show activists alleging racial profiling and possible violations of Connecticut's Trust Act, with one advocate hospitalized after being knocked down as marshals cleared the doorway. State judicial officials say they are reviewing the deportation warrant and courthouse video to ensure state law was followed.
   

2. Former Executive Director Of Meriden Housing Authority Arrested: Feds (patch.com) — Meriden readers are learning that the former executive director of the Meriden Housing Authority, who also led Groton's authority, has been federally indicted on fraud and money laundering charges tied to a multimillion-dollar loan. Prosecutors allege he improperly borrowed $16.2 million in the names of Meriden-related entities without board approval and then routed some of the money to personal investments and his home mortgage, while also using Groton housing funds to help service the debt.
   

3. Connecticut Police Standards and Training Council reviews automated cameras, technology (wtnh.com) — State police standards leaders met in Meriden to tighten rules on automated license plate readers, drones, and other surveillance tools, including shorter data retention and more frequent audits. Their recommendations, requested by the governor, will shape how local departments across Connecticut use cameras for investigations, traffic enforcement, and work zones starting October 1.

Warrant: New Haven man accused of robbing drug dealer now faces second holdup charge (ctpost.com) — A New Haven man already charged in an August armed robbery is now also accused in a February holdup involving a stolen Lexus and cash.
