• Student Brought BB Gun To School, Gets Arrested: Meriden Police (patch.com) — Meriden police say a Platt High School student was arrested after allegedly bringing a realistic-looking BB gun to campus, fleeing staff, and resisting officers on nearby Stoddard Drive. The BB gun, resembling a Glock with a weapon light, was found in his backpack, and the student now faces multiple charges as officials stress their commitment to safety in all Meriden schools.
   

• Platt football honors five program pillars lost in heartbreaking five-week span (nhregister.com) — Meriden's Platt High football program has begun its season by honoring five beloved figures connected to the team who died in a difficult five-week stretch last spring. At Falcon Field, players, coaches, and families remembered longtime athletic director Ray Fortier, booster Jim Frederick, trainer Bob Mastrianni, and former players Ryan David and Paul Dorschied, with helmet decals and a pregame ceremony.
