4. 2 Meriden Residents Charged In Illegal Fishing Case In West Haven: Police (patch.com) — Two Meriden residents face multiple commercial fishing charges after environmental police say they illegally harvested nearly 100 oysters and kept undersized fish and crabs during an overnight operation in West Haven Harbor. Officers say public complaints about dangerous nets prompted the crackdown and remind residents to report suspected fish and wildlife violations to DEEP's 24-hour line.
