The Annual Memorial Day Event Was Held In Middletown's Ct. State Cemetery.
Where more than 16,000 veterans and family members are buried.
On Monday Ct. State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown held its annual Memorial Day event. The ceremony was led by Middletown's Ken McClellan commander of the American Legion Post. Speakers at the evnt wereLt. Governor Susan Bysiewicz, Mayor Gene Nocera, Senator Matt Lesser and Veterans Affairs Commissioner Ron Welch.
The 2 p.m. ceremony honored fallen service members at the site where more than 16,000 veterans and family members are buried. The ceremony ended with a Rifle Volley Salate, Taps and Benediction. Click here to watch the whole event!
