• Interacting with therapy dogs may help high schoolers relax, Sacred Heart study finds (ctpublic.org) — New research from Sacred Heart University suggests brief sessions with therapy dogs can significantly reduce stress and boost confidence for high school students. A Milford-based group, K9 First Responders, already deploys trained dogs after traumatic events to help teens open up to crisis counselors, and the study's authors plan larger follow-up research to better understand how long these calming effects last.
   

• Viewing Application Engineer (gm.com) — General Motors is hiring a Lead Viewing Application Engineer who can be based in Milford, with most workdays spent on-site testing vehicle camera and viewing systems. Applicants need several years of software development experience, familiarity with vehicle-based testing, and the ability to obtain an MPG driver's license, but should not require immigration sponsorship from GM now or in the future.
