• Investigation underway after weeks of reported attacks on CT homeless encampment (courant.com) — Residents should know that Milford police are investigating a series of escalating attacks and harassment targeting people living in a homeless encampment near Lowe's, including rock throwing, fireworks, and hateful graffiti. City leaders and advocates are condemning the violence, urging anyone with information to contact Milford police so those responsible can be identified and held accountable.
   

• Men's Golf Set to Compete in SHU Men's Fall Classic (brownbears.com) — Milford's Great River Golf Club will host the Sacred Heart University Men's Fall Classic on October 12–13, bringing Brown University and other collegiate teams to town for a 54-hole tournament. Local golf fans can expect two days of early-morning shotgun starts and steady play on the par-72 course as Brown looks to improve on its recent finish at Columbia's invitational.
