• New Canaan Police Appoint 3 New Officers (patch.com) — New Canaan residents will soon see three new faces in uniform, as the Police Commission has unanimously approved the hiring of officers Luke Kryszczynski, Tyler Stiloski and Kyle Stalteri. The trio, bringing experience from law enforcement, conservation and community work, will be sworn in Thursday morning at police headquarters to begin serving the New Canaan community.
   

• Town To Redo East Avenue Sidewalks; Seeking State Grant on Estimated $1 Million Project (newcanaanite.com) — New Canaan officials are moving ahead with plans to overhaul the heavily used East Avenue sidewalk from downtown to Route 123, aiming to widen and improve safety along the deteriorating stretch. The town approved $16,500 for design work while pursuing a state grant that could limit local costs to about $100,000 on an estimated $1 million project, including possible new sidewalk on the south side.
