Man Dies After Being Pulled From Water In New Haven, Police Say

Emergency responders were called to a boat ramp Friday evening.

NEW HAVEN, CT — A man is dead after being pulled from the water by bystanders Friday evening, according to police.

Emergency responders were called to the Lighthouse Park boat ramp on reports of a jet skier in the water, FOX 61 reported.

Firefighters responded, discovered the man was in cardiac arrest, and began CPR. He was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital and later declared dead, according to FOX 61.

The victim was a 25-year-old man, and police described the incident as a sudden death.

The cause and manner of death will be determined by the state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
