Muse Squad is excited to announce this summer’s newest immersive writing experience summer camp: The Anthologies: Stevie Nicks. In this course, young writers are invited to explore how individual stories, ideas, and themes can come together to create one powerful, cohesive collection.

Creative young minds will have the opportunity to craft and compile a collection of imaginative original works as they experiment with genres and literary devices within a supportive, welcoming environment. Under the guidance of an experienced instructor, students will be taught new creative writing tools and will be given time to explore, draft, and revise stories of their own as they hone their unique creative style and authorial voice.

Hosted at the Ridgefield Parks & Recreation Center, these summer camps are designed for aspiring writers of all ages. The Ridgefield courses will be offered in the following two age groups:

  • Part 1 (Ages 8-12): July 6-10, 2026 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  • Part 2 (Ages 13+): July 20-24, 2026 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Each program consists of five two-hour sessions held Monday through Friday at the Ridgefield Parks & Recreation Center, located at 195 Danbury Road in Ridgefield. Instructors will present students with the opportunity to expand upon their writing techniques and vocabulary, no matter their starting level or prior experience. Throughout the course, students will collaborate with one another, brainstorming ideas, tackling thoughtful thematic prompts, and encouraging each other’s creativity.

This year’s anthology summer camp theme is inspired by legendary singer-songwriter Stevie Nicks, known for her poetic lyrics and unique style throughout her solo career as well as her work with Fleetwood Mac. Students will analyze her songwriting in order to explore themes, imagery, and voice before using this inspiration to craft their own original creative writing.

Muse Squad welcomes writers of all backgrounds and experience levels to join this collaborative environment where they will discover their voices, build a newfound confidence, and connect with peers. Registration is currently open. Interested students and families can visit the summer camp page on the official Muse Squad website here: https://musesquad.org/summer-camps.
