• Simsbury Police Logs: Aug. 27 to Aug. 30, 2026 (patch.com) — Simsbury residents can see a snapshot of recent police activity from late August, including larceny and disorderly conduct charges involving local addresses in Simsbury and Tariffville. The log also notes an impaired driving arrest of a Southington resident in town and provides upcoming court dates for the Simsbury-related cases. 
• Ask Jhoni the Conservationist (sierraclub.org) — Simsbury played a role in this year's CT Black Birders Week, one of several towns hosting free outings that connect birding, history, and environmental justice. The conservationist behind these efforts also describes ongoing campaigns to protect Remington Woods, youth-focused nature trips, and upcoming fall events and committees you can join to support conservation across Connecticut.
