• Town Rallies Around South Windsor Dispatcher Battling Stage 4 Cancer (patch.com) — South Windsor residents and colleagues are coming together to support dispatcher Ryan Fraley, 37, as he battles Stage 4 metastatic melanoma that has left him unable to walk. A GoFundMe organized by a friend has already raised more than $20,000 to help cover his medical treatments, rehabilitation, and daily living expenses, highlighting the town's strong backing for a longtime public safety worker.

• Man arrested after disturbance at motel in South Windsor (newportdispatch.com) — South Windsor police responded to a disturbance at the Nitey-Nite Motel on John Fitch Boulevard, where a West Virginia man was arrested after allegedly trying to break into a room and confront the occupant. Officers also served local and regional arrest warrants, including one for a South Windsor resident and another tied to a bad check written to a South Windsor business, with all cases headed to Manchester Superior Court.
