CT-Based Supermarket, Stamford Brewery Collaborate On New Fall Beer

STAMFORD, CT — Cingari Family Markets, the family-owned and operated Connecticut-based supermarket company, is marking the unofficial arrival of fall with a limited-edition pumpkin ale created in partnership with Stamford-based Half Full Brewery.

Cingari Family Markets Pumpkin Ale became available earlier this week for a limited time exclusively at the 10 Cingari Family ShopRite locations, while supplies last, in Brookfield; Commerce Street, Stamford; Derby; Fairfield; Farmington Avenue, Bristol; Norwalk; Southbury; Shelton; Shippan Avenue, Stamford; and Southbury.

The medium-amber ale is made with real pumpkin, cinnamon and nutmeg and has 6 percent alcohol by volume. The companies said the seasonal beer is intended to accompany fall traditions such as Friday night football, leaf-raking and gatherings around the first fire of the season.

"We love finding new ways to bring the flavors and traditions of the season to our customers, and this collaboration with our Stamford neighbors at Half Full Brewery does exactly that," said Cingari Family Markets President and CEO Thomas Cingari Sr. in a news release. "This is a beer made for fall in Connecticut, and we think our customers are going to enjoy having a locally brewed, Cingari-exclusive option to celebrate the season."

The ale is brewed by Half Full Brewery, a Stamford brewery located at 575 Pacific St. The collaboration continues a relationship between the two businesses that has previously produced exclusive seasonal offerings for Cingari customers.
