Jennifer Lynn Brenes, 50, of Milford, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2026 at Yale New Haven Hospital while surrounded by her loving family. Jennifer was born on June 24, 1975, in Toledo, OH, to Douglas and Janice Capehart. Jennifer was the beloved wife of 27 years to Jonathan Brenes.

Jennifer was the true matriarch of her family in every sense of the word, a selfless and loving woman whose greatest joy in life was caring for her husband, children, and all those she held dear. She carried a deep appreciation for life that shone through in her warmth and kindness, and anyone who met her was drawn to her almost instantly. Jennifer had a rare and beautiful gift for making others feel safe, valued, and truly seen, always placing the needs of others before her own. She took great pride in her home, finding happiness in creating a space filled with comfort and love, and enjoyed shopping, often with family in mind. Her presence was a steady source of compassion and strength, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

In addition to her beloved husband Jon, she is survived by her son Michael Maldonado (Kyhara Jeanty), son Ryan Brenes (Ava), and Emily Brenes. Grandchildren: Sophie Maldonado and Liliana Maldonado. Mother-in-law Sandra Jabiles and father-in-law Isaac Jabiles. Sibling in laws: Michael Brenes (Heidi), Dayvid Brenes (Veronica), and Cassia Jazmine Jabiles (Leonardo Portillo). Niece Jaidy Brenes and nephew Mikael Brenes. As well as many additional beloved family and friends.
