The largest request is $3.5 million for the Perna Lane Area Sewers project. According to the explanatory comments included in the agenda, the additional money is being requested because crews discovered an unknown amount of rock excavation during construction.

Another $1.2 million is requested for construction and engineering services related to upgrades at the Alvord Lane and Commerce Road pump stations. The project is ready for bidding, according to the explanatory comments.

Engineers revised the estimated construction cost to $7 million and estimated construction administration and observation services at $600,500.

The WPCA is also seeking $500,000 for major equipment replacement, including rebuilding one belt filter press.

A fourth request would provide $101,442 for accessible restroom renovations as part of the Springdale long-term facility plan’s deferred maintenance and asset renewal work.

The proposed renovations include two single-user restrooms near the cafeteria and multi-fixture restrooms on the ground floor across from the art room.

The Planning Board may also approve minutes from its Nov. 4 meeting.

A general public comment period is not listed on the agenda. The meeting rules state that attendees may be unmuted if called on by board members and that applicants may submit written testimony before the meeting.

The board’s next meetings are scheduled for Nov. 17, Dec. 1 and Dec. 15. A public hearing on the capital budget is scheduled for Jan. 12.
