• Mosquitoes Test Positive For West Nile Virus In Stonington (patch.com) — Stonington residents are being urged to take extra precautions after mosquitoes collected in town on August 13 tested positive for West Nile virus, according to Ledge Light Health District. Officials recommend limiting time outdoors at dawn and dusk, using repellent, checking screens, and removing standing water and other mosquito breeding spots around homes to reduce risk.
