• Stonington To Hold Public Information Meeting On Bridge Preservation Project (patch.com) — Stonington residents are being invited to a Sept. 9 public meeting at Town Hall to learn about a major preservation project for the Wolf Neck Road Bridge over Whitford Brook. Officials will explain planned repairs, full bridge and guiderail replacement, and an eight‑month road closure starting in April 2027, including detour routes and how driveway access will be maintained.

The case began with a January death in Uncasville and followed earlier drug‑trafficking charges, highlighting ongoing cooperative efforts against fentanyl distribution in southeastern Connecticut.
