Zimmerman, has pleaded guilty in federal court to wire fraud and money laundering tied to nearly $868,000 in fraudulent COVID-era PPP loans, and faces sentencing on January 5, 2027. Federal prosecutors say he inflated income and employee counts for his Stratford-linked businesses and submitted falsified tax documents, as part of a broader national crackdown on pandemic loan fraud.

Connecticut's Sikorsky lands $234M Army deal to build Black Hawks, DeLauro says (ctpost.com) — A new $234 million U.S. Army contract for 16 Black Hawk helicopters will help sustain jobs and production at Sikorsky's Stratford headquarters and nearby facilities. Connecticut's congressional delegation says the deal supports good-paying local manufacturing work and keeps the company's extensive supplier network humming as more aircraft orders are expected in coming years.
