Lyme, East Lyme & Old Lyme Open Houses Oct. 10-11: A Niantic Bungalow, A Sound View Cottage And 10 More

EAST LYME, CT — This weekend's shoreline open houses run from a remodeled 624-square-foot cottage steps from the beach at Sound View to a new East Lyme home with views of Long Island Sound. In between: a Niantic Village bungalow 433 feet from the Niantic River with its own approved mooring, a ranch on Lake Pattagansett and two to-be-built homes from EG Home.

Twelve East Lyme and Old Lyme homes are holding open houses Saturday, Oct. 10, and Sunday, Oct. 11, with prices from $300,000 to $1,799,000, according to Zillow.com. No Lyme homes have open houses scheduled this weekend.

Saturday, Oct. 10

78-1 Hartford Ave. #78-1, Old Lyme, 10 a.m. to noon (also Sunday, 10 a.m. to noon), $300,000. This completely remodeled 1940 cottage is steps from the beach at Sound View, with newer electrical, windows and siding, AZEK decking and a new kitchen, bath and floors. The listing notes it has seasonal water service, on from about March 15 to Nov. 30. It's a two-bedroom, one-bath home with 624 square feet; the HOA fee is $42 a month.

Two to-be-built homes from EG Home on Twin Valley Road, in a community of 22 homes on a quiet cul-de-sac, are open Saturday and Sunday; the listings say to use Green Valley Lakes Road in your GPS:

20 Twin Valley Road, East Lyme, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (also Sunday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.), $1,175,000. The Lillinonah plan for Lot 14 is a Colonial with a two-story foyer, an open kitchen and great room, a loft, a mudroom and an oversized three-car garage. It's a four-bedroom, 2.5-bath home with 3,484 square feet on 0.91 acres; the HOA fee is $42 a month.

8 Twin Valley Road, East Lyme, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (also Sunday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.), $1,120,000. The Hayward plan for Lot 20 is a Colonial on a wooded homesite. It's a four-bedroom, 2.5-bath home with 2,831 square feet on 0.72 acres; the HOA fee is $42 a month.

29 Flat Rock Hill Road, Old Lyme, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., $675,000. This 1978 Gambrel Colonial on a level, private 1.84 acres has hardwood floors on the main level, a large eat-in kitchen with a fireplace and a primary suite, plus a newly installed roof. It's a three-bedroom, 2.5-bath home with 1,878 square feet. Its price was cut by $24,900 on Oct. 7.

It's a three-bedroom, 2.5-bath home with 2,432 square feet; the HOA fee is $583 a month.

Sunday, Oct. 11

3 Naomi Lane, East Lyme, noon to 2 p.m., $675,000. The same owners have kept this sunny, south-facing 1972 contemporary for 27 years. A back room with a bath could become an in-law space, and there's a park-like yard with a patio and deck, central air and a new septic tank from August 2026. It's a five-bedroom, 2.5-bath home with 3,340 square feet on 0.9 acres.

72 Smith St., East Lyme, noon to 2 p.m. (also Friday, Oct. 9, 4 to 6 p.m.), $925,000.
