44-Year-Old Accused Of Trying To Connect With Teen In Tolland County Online Despite Court Order: Warrant
A man barred from contacting a girl hit up the teen on social media and is now facing a criminal charge, a warrant says.

TOLLAND, CT — A 44-year-old man is facing a criminal charge and is accused of trying to connect on a social media application with an underage girl from Tolland County he was prohibited from contacting. state police said.
The man has been charged with violating a protective order via a warrant issued out of Rockville Superior Court, state police said.
The case dates back to Dec. 16, when a mom went to the state police Troop C barracks to inquire about a possible restraining order violation, according to a warrant. A friend's father, who was prohibited from having an contact with the mother's 15-year-old daughter, had sent a friend request to the girl on the Snap Chat application, according to a warrant.

The girl's mother was sifting through the teen's account and noticed the friend request from several months earlier, according to a warrant.
When state police dug into the account further, they discovered friend requests from one user name associated with the teen and then another after the teen had changed her online monicker, according to a warrant.
