• 2 Charged In Hotel Fraud Scheme In Wallingford: Police (patch.com) — Wallingford police say a months-long investigation into suspicious hotel payments led to the arrests of two people accused of using multiple victims' credit cards for a long-term stay. Detectives traced the alleged scheme back to April 2025, obtained numerous search warrants, and ultimately charged the pair with larceny, identity theft, and related fraud offenses tied to the Wallingford hotel.
   

• CT-owned intersections are getting video detection upgrades. What that means for drivers (courant.com) — Drivers in Wallingford should expect weekday lane restrictions this fall at two Route 150 intersections, where the state is installing new camera and radar-based traffic detectors. The upgrades, part of a multi-town CTDOT project, aim to reduce delays and improve safety without recording video or issuing tickets. Work will run weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through 2027.
   

• Obituary: Paul Ingraham (greenwichsentinel.com) — Wallingford readers are invited to honor Paul Ingraham, who grew up locally and will be laid to rest at In Memoriam Cemetery on Maplewood Avenue on October 6. The renowned French horn player and educator enjoyed a celebrated orchestral career and deep family life, yet always kept ties to his Connecticut roots. Visiting hours are October 5 in Trumbull.
