Wallingford Police Blotter: Sept. 12 Through Sept. 18, 2026

Recent arrests by the Wallingford Police Department. All charges are allegations and not convictions.

WALLINGFORD, CT — The following information has been provided by the Wallingford Police Department and does not indicate convictions:

Fernando Sequera, 51, of Meriden, was arrested Sept. 12 on charges of fourth-degree larceny and violation of protective order. He was released after posting a $10,000 bond with a court date of Nov. 25, according to state judicial records.

Anthony Castano, 28, of Queens, New York, was arrested Sept. 12 on a charge of criminal attempt at fifth-degree larceny. He pleaded guilty on Sept. 24 and received a suspended sentence of six months in prison with a conditional discharge of one year, according to judicial records.

Edwin P. Caldas, 36, of Meriden, was arrested Sept. 12 on four counts of sixth-degree larceny. He was released on a promise to appear in court on Oct. 20. He was also charged on Sept. 16 with sixth-degree larceny, first-degree criminal trespass, and operating motor vehicle under suspension. He was released on a promise to appear in court on Oct. 20 on those charges.

Steven J. Gildersleeve, 40, of Wallingford, was arrested Sept. 13 on a charge of violation of protective order. He was released after posting a $2,500 bond with a court date of Oct. 16.

James M. Mazziotti, 44, of Wallingford, was arrested Sept. 14 on a charge of second-degree breach of peace. He was released on a promise to appear in court on Nov. 25.

Daniel D. Samela, 55, of Cheshire, was arrested Sept. 14 on four counts of second-degree harassment and one count of second-degree threatening – physical threat. He was released after posting a $40,000 bond with a court date of Nov. 18.

John A. Palombo, 70, of Wallingford, was arrested Sept. 15 on charges of third-degree assault, criminal lockout, and first-degree threatening – armed / displaying firearm. He was released on a promise to appear in court on Oct. 2. He was also charged on Sept. 17 with two counts of first-degree violating conditions of release. He was released on a promise to appear in court on Oct. 2.

Adelio Gutierrez Mendoza, 26, of Wallingford, was arrested Sept. 15 on charges of operating under the influence of alcohol / drugs, failure to drive upon right, operating without a license, and operating without insurance. He was released on a promise to appear in court on Oct. 28.

Joseph M. Pulisciano, 39, of Meriden, was arrested Sept. 16 on charges of operating under the influence of alcohol / drugs, operating motor vehicle at too slow speed, and failure to drive right – slow speed. He was released after posting a $2,500 bond with a court date of Nov. 13.

Shawn M. Chambers, 38, of West Haven, was arrested Sept. 18 on charges of fourth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit fourth-degree larceny. He was being held in lieu of a $1,000 bond with a court date of Oct. 23.
