• Greenwich's Last Minute Goal Ends Classic Tilt with Conard Field Hockey - We-Ha (we-ha.com) — Conard High's field hockey team narrowly fell 1-0 to powerhouse Greenwich in a defensive battle played right here in West Hartford, ending their long shutout streak. The Red Wolves' strong backline, standout goalie play, and late scoring chances showed they can compete with the state's best as they head into a tough stretch against Canton, Glastonbury, Avon, and Granby Memorial.
   

• CT lawmakers call for reform of Board of Regents system. It follows scandals; loss of 'faith' (courant.com) — State lawmakers, including West Hartford Sen. Derek Slap, are pushing for major reforms to Connecticut's public college Board of Regents after scandals involving top leaders and mishandled harassment complaints. They argue the centralized system has become bloated, unaccountable, and out of touch with students and taxpayers, and expect structural changes to be debated in the next legislative session.
