• Police: Woman made fraudulent withdrawal at Connecticut bank after being arrested the same day (wfsb.com) — Wethersfield police say a Bronx woman is facing charges after allegedly making a $3,500 fraudulent withdrawal at the M&T Bank on Silas Deane Highway, tied to the same-day incident in Glastonbury. Officers coordinated with New York Port Authority to take her into custody this month, and she's now charged with larceny, forgery, identity theft, and criminal impersonation with a set bond and court date.
   

• CT Dept of Labor Employers Add 2800 Jobs in June (ct.gov) — From its Wethersfield headquarters, the state labor department reports Connecticut employers added an estimated 2,800 jobs last month, pushing payrolls to a record 1.73 million. While job growth outpaces the national rate, officials warn about an aging workforce and fewer workers, and encourage residents to tap job fairs and American Job Centers for free career help.
