Body Found In Pond Near Elementary School (firststateupdate.com) — A body was discovered Wednesday morning in Williams Pond near Frederick Douglass Elementary School in Seaford, prompting a multi-agency response and an ongoing investigation. Authorities have not yet identified the person and are awaiting forensic results. Police are asking anyone who may have seen something unusual around the pond to contact Seaford Police or Delaware Crime Stoppers with tips.
   

2. TidalHealth Nanticoke holds Donate Life Month flag-raising ceremony (starpublications.online) — TidalHealth Nanticoke in Seaford recently raised the Donate Life flag to honor organ and tissue donors, their families, and the hospital staff who support them. Speakers shared how donations from local patients have saved and improved lives, including one mother whose organs helped multiple recipients and medical research. Residents are encouraged to reflect on organ donation’s impact in their own community.
   

3. Police searching for teen in connection to Laurel armed robbery (wboc.com) — Police say a 17-year-old from Seaford is wanted in connection with an armed robbery reported at Laurel’s Holly Brooke Apartments on April 10. Another juvenile suspect is already in custody on robbery and conspiracy charges. Laurel Police consider the Seaford teen armed and dangerous and urge anyone with information to call 911 rather than approach.
   

4. Walter James (Jim) Bell, Jr, 86 (starpublications.online) — Seaford friends are remembering Walter “Jim” Bell Jr., who grew up here, graduated from Seaford High School, and learned golf at Seaford Golf & Country Club before building a long life and career in Lewes. The 86-year-old Army and National Guard veteran, businessman, and avid golfer died April 12; a Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 18, in Lewes with livestream available.
