Downtown Boca Raton Building Will 'Rent' Two Parking Spaces for Loading Zone (bocadailynews.com) — Downtown Boca Raton's tallest building, Tower 155, has secured exclusive weekday use of two city-owned metered spaces on East Boca Raton Road as a designated loading zone, easing long-running conflicts over alley congestion. The building will pay $4,000 annually for a one-year license, with possible extensions, while the city retains the right to reclaim the spaces if problems arise.
   

2. Bomb threat investigated at Boca Raton High School, police say (wpbf.com) — Boca Raton Community High School briefly went into limited movement Wednesday after an anonymous bomb threat call, but police searches found nothing suspicious and classes quickly returned to normal. Officials say the threat, now considered possibly a swatting incident, left all students and staff safe while the investigation continues, and families were notified by Principal Joshua Davidow.
   

3. Business Development Board of the Palm Beaches touts economic advancements (wpbf.com) — Boca Raton is set to gain new high-paying tech jobs as quantum computing firm D-Wave Quantum opens its East Coast U.S. headquarters here next year, supported by partnerships with Florida Atlantic University. County economic leaders say they're building programs to keep local high school and college graduates in Palm Beach County, emphasizing that residents won't need to leave Florida to find strong careers.
   

4. Boca Raton Fire Truck Struck on I-95, Three Firefighters Sent to Hospital (tapinto.net) — Three Boca Raton firefighters and another driver were taken to the hospital after a Boca Raton Fire Rescue truck was hit on southbound I-95 while crews cleared an earlier crash. One firefighter suffered minor injuries, two were evaluated as a precaution, and the other driver was transported under a trauma alert as the Florida Highway Patrol investigates.
   

5. Driver Arrested on Manslaughter Charge in Multi-Vehicle Fatal Crash on South Military Trail (bocaratontribune.com) — A Boca Raton–based police report team details the arrest of a West Palm Beach woman on a felony manslaughter charge tied to a 2025 seven-vehicle crash on South Military Trail that killed a Lake Worth man. Deputies say she failed to slow for stopped traffic, triggering the deadly chain reaction, and the case now moves forward under a formal traffic homicide investigation.
