• Rock for Equality at Oscura (thebradentontimes.com) — Oscura on Manatee Avenue East in Bradenton is hosting a Rock for Equality concert this Friday night, with tickets at $15 and music starting at 7 p.m. Local and regional bands will perform, and half of all proceeds support the Florida Immigration Law & Justice Center, giving Bradenton residents a way to enjoy live music while backing a legal-aid nonprofit.
   

• RoadWatch – 09-16-26 (islander.org) — Expect ongoing weekday construction on 75th Street West at Manatee Avenue in Bradenton, with lane closures and utility and drainage work that could slow your commute. You can also skip some congestion by using the free MCAT island trolley, which runs daily between Coquina Beach in Bradenton Beach and the Anna Maria City Pier with connections to mainland buses.
   

• Gas prices jump more than 12 cents overnight in Bradenton-Sarasota-Venice area (mysuncoast.com) — Drivers in the Bradenton-Sarasota-Venice area are paying sharply more at the pump, with average regular gas jumping overnight to $4.22 per gallon, about 12 cents higher than Tuesday. Prices are now significantly above last month and last year, and diesel has hit a record local average, squeezing transportation and commuting budgets across the region.
