Ralph Douglas Toole, 83 of Chipley, Florida Passes on April 14, 2026 (fosterfollynews.net) — Family, friends, and neighbors are invited to honor longtime Chipley farmer and church leader Ralph Douglas Toole at visitation and funeral services today, April 17, at First Baptist Church of Chipley. The 83-year-old Piney Grove Road resident is remembered for his decades of agricultural work, green boiling peanut production, and faithful service as a Sunday School teacher and Gideon.

Chipley City Council advances drainage project funding, discusses code enforcement and comprehensive plan updates (washingtoncounty.news) — Chipley residents should know the City Council has accepted state grant funding to move forward with the Gilbert Acres drainage improvements, aiming to upgrade local stormwater infrastructure. Council members also advanced efforts to clean up old code enforcement liens, encouraged applications for a CRA board vacancy, and supported a grant request to modernize the city’s comprehensive plan and land development rules.

Tommy Ray Sullivan, 68 of Chipley, Florida Passes on April 11, 2026 at Ascension Sacred Heart Bay Hospital in Panama City (fosterfollynews.net) — Chipley is mourning the passing of 68-year-old resident Tommy Ray Sullivan, who died April 11 at Ascension Sacred Heart Bay Hospital in Panama City. Born in Chipley and remembered for his love of fishing, gardening, and Miami Hurricanes football, he is survived by close family as they plan a private Celebration of Life.
