• Couple's romantic dinner knocked off track by suspicions of cheating (leesburg-news.com) — Clermont police arrested a Mascotte man after a violent confrontation with his wife outside businesses along U.S. 27, where witnesses reported seeing her strangled and robbed of cash. Officers later found the suspect at the couple’s Mascotte home, recovered the money, and booked him into Lake County Jail on multiple domestic battery, robbery, and criminal mischief charges. 
• Historic CBS Property Is Quickly Becoming Mixed-Use Lumberyard District In Historic Downtown Clermont (sltablet.com) — A long-time Clermont Builders Supply site on Lake Minneola is being transformed into a $45 million Lumberyard District with nearly 400 apartments plus new retail, restaurant, and entertainment space. The two-phase project in historic downtown Clermont will add a rooftop-bar-equipped complex and a parking garage, and is expected to significantly affect traffic along 12th Street/Lake Minneola Shores.
