• Prep football preview: Raiders seek elusive win vs. Indians (palatkadailynews.com) — Crescent City’s Raiders are still chasing their first win as they host Keystone Heights on senior night this Friday at 7 p.m. at Wisnoski Field. Coach Tim Ross says the team practices intensely but struggles to turn that effort into points, with just three touchdowns all season and late-game fatigue hurting an otherwise solid defense.
   

• A Place to Call Their Own (palatkadailynews.com) — Putnam Habitat for Humanity has finished its five-home Veterans Village in Palatka and is now eyeing Crescent City for its next builds. The group owns a half-acre in Crescent City it hopes to split into two affordable homes, potentially for veterans or other qualifying families, as it works through a waiting list of nearly 100 applicants.
