• Okaloosa Technical College opens new North Campus in Crestview (weartv.com) — A new Okaloosa Technical College North Campus has opened on John Givens Road in Crestview, bringing expanded training in trades like welding, plumbing, automotive service, cybersecurity, and industrial technology. Funded through state grants and Triumph Gulf Coast, the campus is designed to boost local workforce skills and complements OTC’s existing South Campus in Fort Walton Beach. 
• Man arrested after high-speed chase ends with crash, PIT maneuver in Crestview (weartv.com) — A high-speed chase that began in Alabama ended with a crash at Highway 90 and Highway 189 in Crestview, followed by a PIT maneuver and brief foot pursuit. A Crestview man was arrested and faces multiple charges in Okaloosa County and Alabama, and despite heavy vehicle damage, authorities report no life-threatening injuries.
• Crestview man dies in crash with pickup truck in Fort Walton Beach (nwfdailynews.com) — A 65-year-old Crestview man died after his sedan collided with a pickup truck on State Road 189/Green Acres Road in Fort Walton Beach on August 1. Florida Highway Patrol says a 21-year-old local woman turned left into the sedan’s path, and the man was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
