• Victims, suspect in DeLand murders knew each other, cops say (coralspringsflnews.com) — DeLand police say the teen suspect and two teens found shot behind the Athens Theatre knew each other and had arranged to meet in a concealed lot off West New York Avenue. After an intensive 1,200-hour investigation, 17-year-old Keyan Rundell was arrested in Manatee County and will be extradited to Volusia County, while investigators warn more arrests are possible for anyone who helped him before or after the killings. 
• Police seek suspect in killings of Citadel cadet, friend in Florida (wsav.com) — DeLand police have identified 17-year-old Keyan Jayden Rundell as the suspect in last month’s double homicide on West New York Avenue, where Citadel cadet Dustin Rose and his longtime friend Samson Campbell were found shot multiple times. Investigators say Rundell is armed and dangerous and are asking anyone with information to contact DeLand police, with a reward offered for tips leading to his arrest.
• Troopers stop two men with 13-to-16-pound box of methamphetamine (leesburg-news.com) — Two men were arrested on State Road 44 in DeLand after Florida Highway Patrol troopers say they found a cardboard box holding roughly 13 to 16 pounds of methamphetamine and a separate bag of fentanyl. The traffic stop, triggered by speeding and equipment violations, led to multiple trafficking and possession charges and high bonds for both suspects.
