• Innocent Woman Jailed in Volusia Sues Florida Highway Patrol Troopers (bocaratontribune.com) — A woman cleared in a deadly I-4 crash held a June 10 news conference outside the Volusia County Courthouse in DeLand, announcing a federal lawsuit against two Florida Highway Patrol sergeants. She says she was wrongly jailed for 13 days and describes harsh conditions at the Volusia County jail. Prosecutors later declined to charge her and arrested another driver in connection with the crash.
