• FBI Most Wanted Fugitive Caught in Lady Lake in 2025 Admits to Child Sex Trafficking (352today.com) — Lady Lake police are being credited with catching a man who was on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted list during a local traffic stop, leading to his recent guilty plea in a federal child sex trafficking case. The stop happened near U.S. 27/441 and Rolling Acres Road after an officer spotted a suspicious license plate. Federal prosecutors say sentencing is set for July 15. 
• DUI suspect and companion arrested after traffic stop in The Villages (villages-news.com) — Lady Lake residents were arrested after a late-night traffic stop in The Villages, following an officer’s concern about a suspicious rear light on their pickup. Police say the driver showed signs of impairment and the passenger had syringes, leading to DUI and paraphernalia charges. Both were booked into Lake County Jail and later released.
