• Jury selection begins in trial of man accused in 2024 downtown Orlando Halloween shootings (fox35orlando.com) — Jury selection is underway in the trial of Jaylen Edgar, accused of killing two people and injuring eight others in downtown Orlando on Halloween 2024. With a large pool of local jurors being questioned and opening statements expected Wednesday, the case will revisit two shootings just minutes apart on crowded city streets and could continue into next week.
   

• Orlando family grieves 4-year-old boy fatally shot; teen relative charged (wesh.com) — Orlando residents are grappling with the death of a 4-year-old boy who was fatally shot last month at the Stella West Apartments, where an 18-year-old relative now faces manslaughter charges.
