• Dead fish wash up in Guana Preserve as environmentalists call for St. Johns County commission to take action (news4jax.com) — Dead fish, including large trout and redfish, are washing up along the Guana Preserve in Ponte Vedra Beach, raising serious concerns about water quality and stormwater runoff from nearby communities. A local fishing guide is urging St. Johns County commissioners to adopt a water-quality or restoration plan, and at least one commissioner plans to join environmental staff for water sampling this week as officials investigate causes and potential fixes.
