(news-journalonline.com) — A recent report shows Volusia and Flagler counties are still among the nation’s most dangerous places for pedestrians, even as fatality rates slowly improve. So far in 2026, at least one person has been killed while walking in Port Orange, contributing to a troubling spike in local deaths and renewing calls for safer road design and slower traffic across the region.

- Good people on here helped my son put my flowers back, and my son who had came in for my birthday was able to pull the fold out bed straight for me, the good people were Blake and Jessica.
