Clearwater Man Arrested In Fatal Shooting At Pinellas Park Business: Sheriff
A Clearwater man was arrested the day after fatally shooting a man during an argument at a Pinellas Park business, deputies said.
PINELLAS PARK, FL — A Clearwater man was arrested on a first-degree murder charge the day after detectives said he shot and killed a man inside a Pinellas Park business early Friday morning.
Patrol deputies responded to a business at 6612 69th Ave. N. around 4:45 a.m. after receiving a report of a gunshot, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
Deputies forced their way into the business and found Craig Allan Beeth, 50, dead on the floor from a gunshot wound to the head, the sheriff’s office said.

Investigators learned that 44-year-old Robert Leon Worthington of Clearwater was at the business with Beeth before the shooting.
Worthington, distraught over issues in his personal life, got into an argument with Beeth.

During that confrontation, Worthington pointed a handgun at the victim and fired a single shot into his head, the sheriff’s office said. The suspect left the scene before deputies arrived.
He was arrested Saturday and booked into Pinellas County Jail on a charge of first-degree murder.
No additional information was shared by the sheriff’s office about the relationship between the two men or the business.
