Cambridge High School’s Third Annual JamBEARee Brings Homecoming Spirit to the Entire Milton Community

MILTON, GA. — What began three years ago as an idea among a small group of Cambridge High School moms has quickly grown into a community-wide Homecoming tradition.

On Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 5–8 p.m., Cambridge High School will host its Third Annual Homecoming Parade and JamBEARee, inviting students, families, alumni, future Bears, local businesses and neighbors throughout Milton to come together for an evening designed to celebrate Cambridge spirit and build traditions that extend far beyond the school campus.

Created in 2024, the JamBEARee was inspired by a simple goal: bring back some of the traditions that once made Homecoming week feel special while creating something uniquely Cambridge. Organizers envisioned an event that would connect students and faculty with parents, alumni, local businesses and the greater community—and make those groups part of the celebration rather than simply spectators.

That vision has continued to grow. As Milton's newest high school, Cambridge sees the event as an opportunity to establish traditions and foster a sense of belonging and school pride that reaches throughout the community.

A Parade, a Party and Plenty of Bear Spirit

The evening begins with the Bear Backyard opening to guests from 5–6:15 p.m. with food trucks, games, rides, vendors and festival-style activities.

Then, at approximately 6:15 p.m., the Homecoming Parade takes center stage. The Cambridge High School marching band, Cambridge-affiliated clubs, athletic teams and organizations will join members of the 2026 Homecoming Court, alumni, feeder programs, community businesses, Milton Police and Fire departments, city officials and others for a colorful procession filled with floats, decorated vehicles, golf carts and vintage convertibles. Parade participants will even gently toss candy to spectators along the route.

Community members are encouraged to pack the parade route, wear their Cambridge blue and cheer on the Bears.

Following the parade, guests can gather for performances by the Cambridge band, cheer and dance teams, along with remarks from Coach Jones and Principal Agans. The Bear Backyard then reopens, with festivities continuing until 8 p.m.

Best of all, there is no admission fee for parade spectators, a feature organizers have prioritized since the event's inception to make the celebration accessible to the broader community.

Local Businesses Help Make the Celebration Possible

That free community experience is possible in large part because of business sponsorships.

From the beginning, organizers designed the JamBEARee so event expenses could be underwritten by community partners rather than relying on admission fees. The original sponsorship program offered businesses meaningful visibility and opportunities to become active participants in the celebration—not simply place a logo on a sign.

Past sponsorship opportunities have included prominent recognition on event marketing, signage, banners and social media; inclusion in school and parent communications; parade participation; opportunities to distribute branded items; event announcements and other highly visible ways for businesses to connect with Cambridge families and the surrounding community.
