A free outdoor screening of "The Extraordinary Caterpillar" happens Friday, Sept. 25, followed by the 36th Annual Insectival festival on Sunday, Sept. 27. Both events are cashless, with registration required for movie night and low-cost tickets for Insectival.

• Athens artist explores faith in the age of smartphones (onlineathens.com) — An Athens-based artist, Ethan Snow, is inviting locals to explore how our smartphone habits resemble modern rituals in his exhibition "New Faith" at Foyer, 135 Park Ave, on view by appointment through Oct. 11. Using glowing plexiglass and ceramic sculptures that blend human bones with machine-like forms, Snow asks viewers to reflect on their daily devotion to technology and emerging AI.
