The case has fueled political debate over homelessness policy, while police urge sexual assault victims to seek help from The Cottage and report incidents promptly.
   

2. Athens food bank gets massive donation from Latter-day Saints (onlineathens.com) — A massive 40,000‑pound food shipment just arrived at the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia's Athens facility on Newton Bridge Road, part of a nationwide Latter-day Saints initiative. MDMA, marijuana, and guns found during Athens traffic stop (wsbtv.com) — A recent traffic stop on East Dougherty Street in downtown Athens led police to seize marijuana, MDMA pills, guns, and drug-packaging materials, resulting in charges against two men from central Georgia. Athens-Clarke County Police are asking residents to share tips about suspected drug activity through the department's Drug Tip Line to support ongoing investigations.
