2. Renters say their floor split wide open inside Atlanta apartment (wsbtv.com) — Southwest Atlanta renters at Gateway South Apartments say a large gap in their living room floor and apparent rotted support beams have left them living in unsafe conditions. Management now says the unit must be vacated for repairs and has offered a temporary furnished apartment, reimbursements, and permission to break the lease while the brothers decide their next steps.

3. Unvaccinated metro Atlanta resident diagnoses with measles (fox5atlanta.com) — Georgia health officials have confirmed measles in an unvaccinated metro Atlanta resident with no known travel or exposure, bringing the state's total to seven cases this year. Authorities are tracing contacts and urge anyone with symptoms to call a provider first, while stressing that the MMR vaccine offers strong protection for children and adults.

4. Blighted Westside properties targeted for condemnation by Atlanta mayor (atlantanewsfirst.com) — Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens is asking City Council to start condemnation proceedings against five long-blighted Westside properties between Joseph E. 5. Data center task force proposal goes back to Atlanta City Council committee, mayor's office works on data center strategy (11alive.com) — Atlanta's City Council has paused a proposed 23-member data center task force, sending it back to committee while the Mayor's office finishes a citywide data center strategy due October 30.
