• Georgia man found guilty of 16 felony sex crimes involving children (11alive.com) — A Ball Ground resident has been convicted in Cherokee County of multiple felony sex offenses against children, with abuse reported at homes in both Ball Ground and Holly Springs. Jurors heard from numerous witnesses over a six-day trial before returning guilty verdicts on 16 counts. Sentencing is scheduled for September 9, and authorities say the investigation began in 2021 after initial allegations surfaced.
